Peter quickly spins a web to catch Gwen, breaking her neck in the process. Peter trips Norman with his web, but after he regains consciousness, he pushes Gwen off the roof. Peter finds she is missing, and is challenged by Norman to come rescue her. Gwen goes to look for Peter at his "Darkroom", but Norman kidnaps her and takes her to the rooftops. Harry discovers that the card with the doctor's number and address is missing from his desk, but that the card had Peter’s address and number on it as well. He bumps into Harry Osborn, who believes his father is still in the hospital. Peter goes back to Norman's apartment and finds the newspaper, realizing that he is the Green Goblin. He finds the goblin equipment, and vows revenge on Spider-Man. The next day, Norman wakes up in his former 'warehouse'. Three thugs harass and attack him, leaving him unconscious. Norman sees Parker's name on the newspaper and hallucinates that Spider-Man is chasing him into the streets of New York. Peter believes he is unwell, and tells Gwen that Norman was obviously mentally altered after the accident. Peter visits Norman, who becomes enraged and tells him to leave. In his room, he finds a newspaper detailing the explosion of Norman's plant, caused by a battle between Spider-Man and The Green Goblin. Norman returns to his home, in an amnestic state, in an attempt to find his son, Harry. Peter's spider-sense detects Norman Osborn traveling in a taxi, and he learns from Gwen that Norman survived an explosion at his chemical plant. Afterwards, he meets his girlfriend Gwen Stacy. He stops the car and traps the two criminals. Peter Parker, as his alias Spider-Man, is following a stolen vehicle. The film and its attendant documentary received showings and accolades at several small film festivals. Poole is the director, producer, creative editor, screenwriter, and star of the film. The Green Goblin's Last Stand is a 1992 superhero fan film by Dan Poole, based on the comic book story " The Night Gwen Stacy Died", published by Marvel Comics in The Amazing Spider-Man #121–122.

Įither way, its absolutely essential because I can get a much more sonically pleasing result from our hardware than what any UAD2/Waves plugin is ever gonna provide. For many clients, that’s what they’re paying us for. It very important that I be able to process tracks and projects through our analog hardware. I don’t see the “External Plugin” plugin anywhere on the master bus. It looks like I’m going to be able to do all of that within WaveLab (except maybe tempo mapping, idk if WL has a way to figure out the tempo quickly)Ģ things I’m disappointed with right now though and they’re actually extremely important… Adjust and fades and little touchups that I night catch before exporting Add what little metadata it allows me to add.Export in real-time each song 1 at a time.Get a consistent sound and level across all tracks.Load all tracks into Nuendo for analog and plugin processing.Export at 32bit/96kHz or double whatever the rate the track originally was.Normalize each track so that I have a consistent starting point.Map the tempo of each and make note of the bpm.Load clients files 1 at a time into Acid Pro.This truly is THE mastering suite.įor years, my mastering process went something like this: What I’m thanking you (and everyone else in the forum that recommended going through with the investment) for. I was gonna watch some tutorials but decided to close out the app, start over, and just get to working on something like it matters and I’ve got the hang of it for the most part now, I think. Justin, thank you so much for your original advice. Appears to be a problem during import, if I had to guess. I loaded a file from a project I’ve been meaning to remaster for a client and everytime I press play, I just get load static. However, I’m having a problem that doesnt make much sense. Now I’m waiting on the activation code to be sent (system must be bogged down by all the online sales today) and I decided to familiarize with Elements while I wait, so I can speak on the difference first-hand. Then I just bought the upgrade from Elements to Pro 11 for $30 less than direct today (“Cyber Monday”). I bought Elements 11 on Black Friday from Sweetwater for $50 less than Steinberg charges direct. Additionally, the clients tend to load their copy directly to their phone, car, and whatever other devices before releasing and they often email MP3s to friends/contributors so having a commercial quality file adds to that impression of professionalism. That’s why something as seemingly simple as metadata is a big deal for our studio. What are the benefits of following through with the plan to upgrade to Pro?Įxactly. We’ll update to Windows 11 after all of the hardware and software companies catch up. The ADC/DAC we use are Lynx AES16e w/ Lynx Aurora16 or our Dante network of: Focusrite RedNet PCIe w/ Lynx Aurora16 LT-Dante + Focusrite RedNet A16R + Neve 1073 OPX w/ Dante card. While mastering, my main concerns are to be able to easily go back into Nuendo to fix issues in the mix if any arise then jump back to WaveLab to continue mastering, use the DAW controls of the console, run through tape during mastering, use analog hardware, and encode cover-art & metadata during mastering. We use a hybrid mixer/control surface, a lot of analog processing, externally processed plugins (UAD2, WSG, AG, etc), and we’re looking to add either an Otari or Studer reel to reel this year (just haven’t decided how many tracks to go with yet). This is a professional recording studio offering both in-studio and remote mixing, mastering, and tracking. To help you help me, let me describe the environment we’ll be using it in and what for. What little I’ve gotten to test out so far has already made me fall in love. After installing the Nuendo 11.0.4 update, I can now easily move back and forth between Nuendo 11, Spectralayers Pro 8, and WaveLab Elements 11. to make me uninstall StudioOne and switch back to WL for mastering permanently. I only had time to test WaveLab Elements out for a moment but it appears to have everything I need. Sweetwater and Vintage King Audio both ran a sale on WaveLab Elements for Black Friday that made it about $50 cheaper to buy Elements and upgrade than to just buy WaveLab Pro, so I did it. From devices like a laptop to smartphones and other external displays, Miracast made things relatively easy. Miracast introduced itself as the "HDMI over Wi-Fi" and eventually became a standard for wireless screen mirroring. As it proved quite helpful to cast a small screen onto a more prominent display to enable a condition where more people could see it, the concept transitioned to wireless technology. Device mirroring has been a concept that started gaining popularity since it was covered through wires. In a tweeted statement earlier this week, though, Rovio announced that it is delisting Rovio Classics: Angry Birds from the Google Play Store and renaming the game Red’s First Flight on the iOS App Store (presumably to make it less findable in an “Angry Birds” search). Why? According to Rovio, the paid version was interfering with the much more profitable free versions of its games. Rovio, the company behind the Angry Birds franchise, just shut down its last remaining paid version of the games. At this point, the examples of such business models are ubiquitous, but it wasn’t all that long ago that you would hear executives from various industries flatout state publicly that “nobody can make money from ‘free’.”Īh, the irony. Whatever you lose in not charging for some content, you can make it up via an increase in reach and/or market share, assuming you do it well. The idea, which can certainly be counterintuitive, is that if you make parts of your product free to the customer, particularly the parts that are reproducable at zero marginal cost, then you can build in value-adds one way or another that you can charge for. For a long, long time, we at Techdirt have been advocating for business models that make use of free content. You have to love a story that comes full circle after all these many years.
